Youth Opportunities
The Barley Sheaf Players proudly offer many opportunities for children and teens to participate actively in the vibrant world of Community Theater. In addition to our annual Teen and Kids' shows, which take place in the summer, we frequently feature shows with parts for young people in our regular season. Our annual Holiday Show, which performs in December, almost always has parts for children and teens, too.
-
Our annual summer Teen Show is a great experience for middle- and high-school students (must be at least 13 years old at the time of auditions to participate; those who graduated from high school prior to the year in which auditions are held are not eligible). Teens are invited to audition for acting parts or to sign up for production staff if they aren't interested in being on stage or if they aren't cast in a role. As well as being on stage, teens have served as stage managers, stage crew, costumers, choreographers, musical accompanists, assistant directors, assistant producers, and more.
